Teal Day Wrap Up

19 Feb by Kimberly Daniels

Thank you to everyone at the Club for making Sunday’s Teal Day a wonderful day, raising funds and awareness for Ovarian Cancer Australia.

Final figures are not quite in yet, but we hope to have raised over $4000 dollars…which is an amazing effort! As a club, so many of you donated goods and services which sold for some incredible prices at the Silent Auctions (congrats to the successful winners).

Special thanks to some of the major donations:
- Mark Ward and family/Haier for the washing machine
- the Stillwell Group for the BMW package and Volvo Car Detailing
- Ian Denny for the golf passes
- Marty, Nic & Robinson Smith for the Liam Neeson signed Sandy Royals cap and Star Wars picture.

It takes a lot to run a day like this, so thanks to all who helped make the day a success – Rick and Libby Wills; Kimberly, Sidney, and Astrid who hardly stopped all day in the canteen; Kerrin & Mike Lewis; Iaian Richardson; and Nick to name a few (apologies to anyone I missed).

Combined with a Royals Club lunch, Mabior Chol throwing the first pitch, and the grounds being used all day by juniors and seniors, it was so good to see our players wearing the teal tops.

Thanks again for all the support!

Sue
